Feather Artist Club DX Stainless Steel - Wood Handle Worth-it?

Is the Wood handle on the worth the extra 35 bucks? Is the wood on it gonna last a lifetime of water and soap contact?

It seems like the the plastic handle (White) one is $35 bucks cheaper....

Teak is a naturally water resistant wood. In addition it's a laminated wood that seems to be resin impregnated or sumthin so I would guess they won't rot out if you take care of them. As far as it being worth it? That is entirely up to you

No way - a wood handle on a razor? That's crazy.
And it costs more money than plastic? Seriously - what is that all about?

Thanks Kent..... I guess then its all about when 10 years down the line, Do i wanna be standing in-front of the mirror thinking.... I should have spent and extra 35 bucks :)

Besides the handle, the stainless stell will definitely last me a lifetime ... correct? Or is that wishful thinking?

I have had mine for a couple of years now, and while it isnt used daily it still looks brand new. If you take care of it by wiping it down every so often and drying it well I would suspect it will last longer than you- both the stainless and the wood.

In short- yes. You have nothing to worry about in regards to the teak scales. They will likely be around long after we are gone. I sprung for the teak scales and am very happy I did.

I went with an RG in ebony or whatever it is, and the scales have managed just fine despite high humidity and poor care. Thinking of getting a vanilla DX and swapping scales.
