Just got mine in the mail today, loved the shave! I was a little worried I would not like it, but my fears were unfounded. I have the razor that I will use pretty much exclusively.

It is a heavy razor, but I quickly adapted to the additional weight. I have always used Feather blades, so my skin did not need to adjust to a different blade.

I know the price is a killer, but I highly recommend this razor.

So now I turn my attention to trying out different soaps/creams out there. I enjoy Tabac and D.R., so I will try to stick with tallow soaps...

It's times like this that I am glad to have found DE shaving!:thumbup1:

good to hear that you like the new razor. It will last for ever, under normal use. I was wondering what razor you like prior to using this feather stainless steel? I would like to know a good comparison. I know the weight will change things for the better.

I still need to find my way with this razor. With Feather blades it doesn't shave close enough for me on my normal WTG/ATG 2 pass shave, so I have to go back over some parts, which then causes nicks.

I'll try to get some Iridiums and Green 7 o'clocks, to see if they improve my results.

Still loving the sheer quality of the thing though

It's the only razor I use. I recently went back to the DE89 and found I was unused to the texture on the razor head. I went straight back to the Feather and enjoyed the gliding sensation. :001_smile

I've had mine a week now and really enjoy it. Been using Super Iridiums but I'll try a Feather next week.

Had the same thing, found that Treet carbon blades work best for me in this razor :laugh:

This is the only razor I have used the last month. This and a Shark SS blade seem to me to optimal. YMMV, I know mine does. I have some Bolzanos coming, but I cannot imagine them being that much better than the Sharks to justify the price difference.

This may not be a fair question, but if you were to choose a Gillette razor to discribe the shave of this razor, what model would you pick?

Hi Everyone.
I've had mine for a few weeks and it will become the only one I will ever use! I'm using it with Feather blades and with that combo I can do no wrong to my face.
Quick question though. I purchased the 'international' version that does not include the razor stand like the Japan-only gift-set version does. Does anyone know where (or if) the matching stand can be found? If not, a similar substitute could suffice if it's the appropriate one.

Ok,I am tired of reading about this razor and how everyone likes it,and me not having one.There is only one remedy for this and it is to purchase one.Any body know where the best deal is on a new or preowned one.
