Favorite IPA?

My favorite beer style...love IPAs..especially as the cold winter nights commence....(Fullers ESB also nice for winter)

Here are a few of my favorites..

1. Dogfish 60/90
2. Harpoon regular IPA and Leviathan
3. Captain Lawrence Imperial IPA (local brewery near me..get in growlers)
4. Brooklyn IPA
5. Bluepoint Hoptical Illusion
6. Lagunitas Maximus
7. Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale

Founder's Red Rye PA

Also, I think it's interesting that you particularly enjoy IPAs in the wintertime, OP. To me, they're the perfect summer beer. I like my beer super hoppy when it's hot outside and highly alcoholic and malty when it's cold.

Good one. Sierra Nevada is always a winner.
I like Alaska IPA & Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA.

Picked up some of the 48 IPA last weekend..got one of these cool SA glasses with the purchase. It is a good IPA. I knew SA could not resist getting into the popular IPA game.....

Smuttynose IPA is amazing if you like grapefruit notes up top :)thumbup1:) Hard if not impossible to find outside of the northeast, unfortunately. Grab some if you can!

Here's what I like when I grab an IPA:

Bear Republic Racer 5/Racer X
Sierra Nevada Torpedo
Green Flash
Stone
Lagunitas

As someone who really likes IPA's, I gotta say that we are seriously SPOILED with choices for these brews these days! Remember what it was like 5-10 years ago? These days you can go almost anywhere and pick between any number of top notch IPA's. :thumbup1:

Smuttynose, Bell's, and Dogfish Head 60 minute are all fantastic.

I'm not a huge fan of the Dogfish Head 90 minute, but I'm also not a hop head. 120 is just undrinkable for me.

Two Brothers Heavy Handed IPA is in mu current rotation. Two brothers recently had a limited release party for "Heavier Handed wet hop oak aged IPA." I could make a full time job of going to all the "limited release" parties from small breweries...

I just tried a Firestone Walker IPA while we were taking a break from wine tasting in Paso Robles. Excellent.
