Favorite Axe Bodywash?

From time to time when I don't feel like dropping around $20 on a premium bottle of bodywash I'll give Axe a try. I just picked up a bottle of Deep Space and I enjoy it. The new, updated Apollo smells good too, though I have yet to try it out. Anyone else who uses Axe? What's your favorite scent, past or present?

Did the Dark Temptations from Sam's Club. It was okay. It came with a snake peel sample. I liked that better. Otherwise, I tend to avoid all Axe products like the plague.

I hear you. Snake Peel may be the quiet star of the Axe range. It gets high praise over at Drugstore.com, too. Never tried the Dark Temptations one, but I will tell you this, star far, FAR away from the Excite. By far the grossest thing my nostrils have ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with.

This may be my next Axe purchase. It's called Thai Massage with Tigergrass Oil and Bali Sea Salt. Anyone tried?

Dont use Axe unless deployed...AAFES if nothing else stock Axe...when forced to buy it I use Night Attack if I remember correctly.

I'm with you. I read "favorite Axe..." and think "NONE"! But I do like their shower tool quite a bit, though. I think the Snake Peel came as a sample with the shower tool--or maybe I just bought it on a hunch--it was a few years ago. It wasn't too bad, actually. I never bought it again, though.

Ive had at one point or another just about all of them. Snake Peel is a great scrub once a week. Ive since moved on to mostly bar soap with Defense and Nancy Boy.

I cannot say I ever bought an Axe product for the scent and almost hate to say I even buy them, but in the summer I use Shock. The mint in it has a nice cooling effect after a long day and it can make for a good pick me up in the morning.

for some reason, I find using a body wash way too much work as compared to a good old fashioned bar of Dial.

Darkahl, if you want something with a cooling effect, get a bottle of Dr Bronners Peppermint soap.

My fav axe???? I will always pass on this Prodt in any form. Too cheep, too younger set, just not my cup o tea.

I agree, it's not "great" stuff by any stretch. However, some of the products fit the bill for me. There are times when I'll try out a new $18-$25 bottle of bodywash and feel completely ripped off. I wonder why I just paid such a premium for such an average product. That's usually when I take a break from the good stuff and try out cheaper options. Nivea has yet to release a bodywash that doesn't smell absolutely horrendous. I just tried their new 3 in 1 Pure Impact and it made me itch and smelled like flowers. Truly dreadful. Old Spice Wolfthorn wasn't any better in my opinion. Just an overtly obnoxious scent that wasn't anything to write home about at all. My only real complaint with the Axe washes is they tend to dry me out at times. The scents are often far better than their competitors. Just my two cents. As for it being "cheap", well it's no cheaper than the other brands I mentioned above. Roughly $6 per bottle at the local pharmacy.

I liked the Phoenix variety for a pretty long time. Then I discovered B&B and moved on to other things I liked much better.

I'm trying to move away from body wash and toward real soap (read the ingredients and tell me which one is soap). I used to use snake peel though and it definitely did the job.
