Father's (Day) Pen's

strop

Now half as wise
Well, sort of. They belonged to my father, and I got them back the day after Father's Day. Some time ago while visiting, my Dad pulled out a box he had unearthed and gave it to me. I contained 3 fountain pens- a Shaeffer, A Parker and a Parkette. The latter was a lever filler that I was able to rehab myseld and is a nice wet writer. I just got the other 2 back and both are a joy to use. They are inked with vintage Shaeffer blue-black that came in that same box. Somewhere I have some better pics but didn't take the time to look for them tonight.

Just realized this was the before picture. The Shaeffer has had it's white dot replaced! and all have been shined up

Great stuff, Mark. That's the second herringbone in as many weeks here!

Oh yeah, we're gonna need some after pics.

Brownells.com, the gunsmithing supplier has a kit for replacing damaged front sight inserts in different colors, one is white and a white dot could be made from it. It's an epoxy type product. I have done one sight and it was relatively easy.
