Fat handled tech

I have researched this but am having trouble finding the answer. How can you tell approximately what year a fat handle tech was made. It does not have a date code.

I just recently got a Canadian Fat Handle Tech and found this link helpful http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/Tech As far as I know there were no date codes before 1950 so that would make yours pre 1950. The holes in the base at the bar also are used for dating, triangular = 1938-1941 rectangular = post 1945 the time inbetween were military issue.

Keep in mind that I am far from an expert and I could have my facts wrong

Would all of the Techs regardless of where they were made follow the same triangular/retangular hole patterns?
