i am think whats to stop some china manufacture from making new copy's of the fatboy and selling them as real ? has anyone found a fake ones yet?

I would be delighted if someone started making fatboys again - if someone in China can do it they should go ahead. As long as they are decent quality they would sell. I think it would be quite obvious that they are copies, even if they are very good, so I doubt that they are going to sucker many buyers.
In view of complexity and relatively low price of fatboys, the easier pickings for fakes would be double rings I would think. You wouldn't even need to stamp a patent number on them if you want top prices.

Rolexes (sp?) cost thousands of dollars. I don't see the point in faking a fat boy to sell it for $100 (and much less once demand drops due to increased supply)
What's stopping them besides the almost complete lack of demand for such a product?
Similarly fake Leicas built on Russian FEDs. The first examples were fairly poor, and caught out only inexperienced bargain hunters, but the counterfeiters have become a lot better and the very best can only be detected by stripping the cameras or lenses.
