FaceGuard from Shavershop (as an aftershave?)

Hi

I've been told to use FaceGuard instead of aftershave (at least that's what I remember being told). But when I bought it today I was told to use it in place of my shaving soap. My skin gets a bit red but that has improved since I stopped using cartridge razors and started using DE razors, with shaving soap.

Naturally I'm confused. Is it OK to use it as an "aftershave" like think I was originally told to do. It's possible I misunderstood what was said to me?

Does not look like an aftershave product, I would try something else. Since you use proraso the pre/post is pretty good as an aftershave.

Yeah I'd skip it as an aftershave.

It's a pre-electric shave oil, so while it would probably work as a pre-wetshave oil, I'd not use it as a substitute for my lather, and I'd certainly not use it as an aftershave.
