Excess lather on handle

There might be a simple solution to this that I'm overlooking...when using a bowl for building lather and a rather short-handled brush (Tweezerman), I find the lather sticks to the handle and near end of the bristles rather than the ends. Makes it difficult to either brush or paint onto my face when the bulk of the stuff is all over the handle (and my hand). What am I doing wrong???

I use my chin (pointiest part of my face) to scoop lather that accumulates in that area below knot and above handle. Then proceed as normal. :biggrin1:

I'm waiting for a brush with about 7 cm handle. That'll be good for bowl lathering. I suppose, generally speaking, short handles follow with smaller knot sizes. Smaller knot sizes are good for face lathering, whilst bigger knots are better for bowl lathering.

Anyway, you could try building lather in a bigger (wider) bowl. Not sure how this will affect the amount of lather you'll be able to get. My sense of logic tells me that smaller brushes are good for smaller bowls, though...
