that is awesome packaging. But yeah $1 for 4 blades seems like it would be considered fairly pricey 50 years agoI bought a couple NOS packs on a while back. I just couldn't resist the nice packaging.

If I am not mistaken, these might look a lot like the Gillette Aristocrat blade that came out in 1967. Those are some of the rarest ss blades that Gillette ever made, officially.

Google Books does it again. Unfortunately, the two references to them are in snippet mode only.
In the British magazine the Spectator, there is a 1966 article detailing the stainless blade wars and Gillette's introduction of the Aristocrat blades.
Then, in this book about the British playwright Noel Coward is this tempting snippet...
