EverReady year?

Any way to figure the year of an Ever Ready brush I picked up? The bakelite near the knot is cream, the bottom is blue and it has number 100 written on the bottom.

I tried to find a resource online to figure it out but to no avail.

Thanks guys!

Marc

Dating brushes is pretty difficult if not impossible. If you post a photo, we might be able to give it a general date range, but you can't pin it down to a particular year...or even a decade.

It looks exactly like the one here:

Just by coincidence, yesterday I removed an old boar knot from that exact same brush model. It's going to make a nice restoration.

How did you remove it? Just the snip it, drill it and sand it technique? I'm planning to do the same with mine.

I usually drill, but this time I just took a sturdy lock-back pocket knife and started digging. Once I had a decent-sized hole started, I pulled out the rest of the hair with a pliers. I also broke through and removed the shelf, since I plan on adding some weight to the handle and may want to set the knot deeper than the original. I'll clean up the inside with a sanding drum on a Dremel tool, but hand sanding would work, also.
