Ever-Ready vintage blades - anybody used these?

I have a box of Ever-Ready SE blades that I received a while back, thrown in by the seller along with the Tech I had bought. Why, I don't know. Anyway, they have been sitting around for a while, but I have just bought myself an Ever-Ready pat.1912 and I'm wondering whether to use them. They're not rusted, maybe because they are slathered in grease. They look like the ones in this picture:

Has anyone used vintage Ever-Ready blades, or have any advice on whether it would be advisable to try them?

I suppose you're right but I'd still be intrigued to know how they shave. Seems like there's not much choice out there for modern SE blades.

If you don't think that the edge has deteriorated, give one a try. If it tugs instead of cut, then you know.

Cool looking package though.

So I shaved with one of the Ever-Ready blades.
First of all, here are some pictures of the blade box:

Back of the box (interesting that these blades have the Personna brand name tucked away in there).

And a blade sleeve. These are actually different from the sleeves in the picture I borrowed from ebay in my original post up above.

As for the shave - this was also my first ever shave with an SE so take this with a pinch of salt - it was great! Very smooth with no irritation, and the blade did a better job cutting through the tough hairs around my chin than any DE blade I've used. I may be a convert to SE shaving! On the other hand, the blade is already developing rust spots less than 24 hours after the shave, and I received my new GEM blades in the post today, so I'll probably leave the rest of the Ever-Readys in the pack.
