What's new

Erasmic.

I have had a half used bowl of this on the shelf for years. It used to be all I used until I got my creams addiction. Tonight I figured I'd give it a whirl for old times sake. So I loaded the Superspeed with my normal Derby Extra and whipped some Erasmic up with my regular Body Shop Synthetic brush. TBH I was surprised how well this stuff lathered, considering how long it had been there. It is a much stronger lather than I remember and has given me a better shave than I have had in a very long time. Not that I was getting bad shaves before. Erasmic, I love you.:D

I seen the bowl in body care i think its called :) Was tempted to get it but i have quite alot of products already.

It´s my favorite sommer shaving soap. Very good lather, the glycerine let the blade gliding, fresh, classy smell.

Erasmic soap (in the bowl) has been an excellent performer among my 20+ soaps: great scent and easy to make a rich, protective, and slick lather. To me it's a much underrated soap.

Got to agree. Had used the stick on several occassions with good effect and the cream. Came across the bowl in Savers for a quid. And even though its cheap it up there with a few others costing £5 plus. A nice scent, slick shave and cheap.

One of the most underrated shaving creams. Nice scent, it reminds me of a... Barber's shop!
Easy to make a good lather, cheap (less than £2), essential package.
The proof that you don't need to spend dozens of pounds to have a good shave.

I have the stick, it's okay but I wouldn't rave about it. Maybe I'll give it another try

There are a few different sticks, newer and older formulations, tallow and non-tallow too....Could be you got one of the less impressive sticks! There are a ton of threads here somewhere if you do a quick search.

I picked up a couple of newer tallow formulations in the stick because they were very cheap and I wanted to try this soap out. I'm currently using them as shower soaps. I got a decent shave but definitely nowhere near the quality of lather as most of the rest of my soaps. It wasn't long before they were grated into a mug for boar brush break-in duty and ultimately pryed out of the mug and used in the shower. I will say that the soap lasts a long time in the shower.... it's a very hard, brittle soap. When you grate it, it turns to powder basically. At any rate, with too many other great soaps out there I will not be repurchasing any Erasmic again unless they reformulate and people on here start raving about the new formulation.

The Erasmic stick in the black container is (more or less) the same as the soap in the bowl, which is excellent. The other Erasmic stick is indeed lousy.
