Enough!

On August 28, 2013 I finally said enough is enough and not even the thought of having more than enough could change my mind. I decided not to buy anything shave related until my stash is used up. I liken it to my having dipped Copenhagen Snuff from the age of 11 until I was 48. One day I finally said enough and haven't even gotten an itch to dip again.
This is why I have enacted a self-imposed shave purchase sabbatical for 2014 and 2015. I will also join the B&B sabbaticals and the 2014 Ultimate Shave Challenge. I am also 3017 ing all of my shaving products.
I am done buying razors, soaps, creams, etc.....
here is a partial list and 2 photos will follow.


50 soap pucks- mostly from Stirling soap
10 Arko sticks
16 tubs and one puck of RazoRock Soap
7 tubes of C.O. Bigelow Cream
1 tub of TOBs Lavender shave cream
1kg of Cella
1 kg of P160
2700 Astra SP's
2 Scuttles
9 Old Spice Shaving mugs
2 handmade shaving bowls
3 Vie Long Brushes, 3 Simpsons, and 5 Whipped Dogs
7-4.25oz deodorant sticks and 2-6oz deodorant crystals
13 bottles of misc aftershaves


I have given most of my razors away and lots of soaps and a few brushes.
I will conduct of new inventory at the end of 2015 and decide where to go from there. But I don't honestly see any shave purchases for a long long while.

Nice collection! I am also getting more stuff than I can use. My weakness is acquiring aftershaves! I haven't purchased anything shave related for a month so far so I am crossing my fingers.....

I told myself after my last order. That I don't need anything more, until I use up some of what I have.

Using a little conservative math, assuming 60 days for a puck and 45 days for a cream and 420 days in a kg of soap, you have a little over 14 years of soap. At 3 shaves a blade, you have over 22 years of blades assuming you shave every day. Even if you use a blade only once, you have more than 7 years of blades. WOW.
