English Gillette's.which models are they?

I posted in December about this and I believe I've narrowed it down on two of them. All three of them are about the same weight.

-Razor in black case is an HD Rocket
-Razor w/out case is either a #22 or #66

What is the razor in the red case? Do you believe both cases are original? Lastly, I'd like to find the case for the #22/#66. Can someone post a pic of the correct case?

I'm with you on the No. 58 and 59, but I don't think the loose one is a No. 16. The guard plate looks like a thin, stamped one, not the thick one the No. 16 would have. I'd go with No. 22/66/70 just from those photos.

Good call Porter. Based on the enlargement I'd say you are correct.

If it has the stamped diamond shaped bottom plate then it is indeed a No. 22/66/70.

There you go. Definitely not the No. 16. With the "PATENT PENDING" inscription inside the head it'd be from before the mid '50s. Without the original case you won't really be able to tell which set it was a part of originally -- even though we talk about the razors as being a "No. 15" or a "No. 66" and so on, it was really the complete sets that Gillette numbered and many sets were just the same razor in different cases.

That razor with the spiral knurling is absolutely beautiful to me. I am going to have to get my hands on one!!! I need it, lol. Every time I come to these boards I see more that I really want, or feed the need to get a certain razor.

-So it looks like the razor w/out the case is either a 22/66/70, and because it doesn't have the original case there isn't a perfect way of knowing which it is.
-Regarding the #59...is it also called the HD Rocket? I think Alex labeled at this in my other post.
-Should these all have a similar shave? I typically like more aggressive razors, and I have found to like the #58 the most out of the three.

Separate from this post, I've been a part of B&B & traditional shaving for a year. I've received alot of help from senior members like Mantic, Mr. Razor, Alex, Erik, Phil (he's a moderator, but don't remember name), and many others. I saw Alex's post about thanking Porter...does Porter have a website like Mr. Razor? For some reason the name Porter keeps coming back to me as being tied to wet shaving...possibly a vendor or hobbyist. Maybe I've seen pics of his collection...why does Porter stick out to me? Possibly because I've seen many posts?

Porter is this guy...but you have to keep it a secret.

I get that...I'm asking about why in my brain I'm putting Porter and wet shaving together. The word, the person...I don't know. My post was kinda random, but for some reason I've seen Porter elsewhere in wet shaving.

I really appreciate Porter's contribution to B&B and the Traditional wet shave world. He has provided and still provides a wealth of knowledge and theories on Shaving history that is very superb. Many of his posts are on B&B and they are popular which is why you keep associating the name Porter and wet shaving.
