EJ Best Badger

So I recently upgraded my brush from the small one included in the TAOS starter kit to an EJ Best Badger Brush. I noticed however that there seems to be clear plastic strips. They seem to be the same length as the hairs on the brush and is very unnoticeable. Is this a normal thing for all brushes, or normal for EJ brushes, or did I just get a random brush?

I have an EJ Best Badger, and I don't think I've seen clear plastic strips of any type. I just took a look and not seeing any plastic strips.

I just used my own EJ BBB today. Have had it for a year - no plastic strips. Photo maybe and we can help diagnose?

I would return it. I have an EJ BBB and it didn't come with plastic anything.

That is NOT normal - unless some of the radioactive bloom from the Japanese reactors has drifted across to China and they're breeding synthetic badgers now...
