Ebay is annoying.

Ugg.. So I won an auction on ebay for a Wade and Butcher that looked great for the price.. And although I changed my address in ebay to be my current address somehow it still used my old address and I didn't notice.. Now some random person is probably going ***? as they open my package.. Very very frustrating!

Come to find out you have 4 different addresses in ebay. So even if you update you 'main' address there are still 3 others you need to update (news to me). And of course one of them is where to have your stuff shipped.

That's one thing that you always need to do when you move. I always double check my address before I press 'Pay' even if I last moved 3 years ago. It's very unfortunate as the seller will follow what was given to him (of course). you might be lucky and the new addressees might return the package to sender...

Isn't there something that you can do at the post office to have the package re-directed to you?

The post office is going to try and retrieve the package. I also have friend who lives in that town that will try and stop by and see if the people are home and have the package. *crosses fingers*

You might have unintentionally made a convert! Watch for the new guy with a post something like "Hi guys, I got this razor in the mail the other day. I didn't order it but is sure is pretty! I did some googling and came across your site. Great place, great people. After reading some posts I decided to give this Traditional shaving thing a whirl. I just placed an order for a brush and some cream."

If I have moved recently I note the new and correct address in the comments field. It has caused confusion, but I include a phone number in the comment and HAVE been called by a seller about the addy's not lining up.

Yeah.. after this incident I scoured both ebay and paypal to ensure that there was no trace of my old address. Both ebay and paypal had my current address but used the old one instead for some reason. Think it was more on the ebay end since I used paypal to get my razor from whippeddog.com and Larry got it to me just fine.

This happened to me one time with a book a few years ago... I forgot to update my address in ebay when I moved.
