Just opened the box and WOW! It look like a brand new razor... Cool!! Going to disinfect it before using it but it's perfect! Excited to see how it performs!

I probably overpaid for it ($49.00) but I don't care really. It was the best looking one I could find and I could easily pay more for a new razor that isn't as nice... Oh well!

Congratulations but I have to say you paid too much besides it has not a case. I won mine $25 within the case 3 weeks ago and it is not polished but it has own shine. BTW I know that seller's prices. I add my auction for giving an idea.

Yes, like I said above - I know I probably paid more than I could have if I had waited but convenience and instant gratification come at a price. Honestly I really couldn't care less about a plastic case. I am very happy with my new razor and that's what counts right?
Well, that Slim is basically brand new. Could you get a new adjustable Merkur for that price? I think it's a fine deal.
IMHO if you want something you will pay for it.

Once you really have your technique down, take a walk on the wild side with it. I have a pretty coarse beard and I find that as long as I'm careful, my Slim on 8 or 9 gives me shaves that only my slants or tuckaways can rival!

I routinely pay more for things than I should. Mainly because I want them and I will remember the pleasure it gives me longer than I will remember what I paid for it.
Looks nice and shiny to me! Got mine for around $25 shipped but no where as shiny as yours... I think it's a good deal.
Great looking Slim.....that was the first DE razor I got. There is nothing wrong with paying and little more and getting a clean near mint Slim like that one.....well done!

Been getting to grips with my new Gillette Slim... All I can say is WOW!! So different than my Parker... I could hardly feel the blade at all... I tried a few different settings and have been getting amazing shaves set at 5... I think I've found my razor!! It's safe to say my girlfriend is very happy about it too!

I also paid just under fifty bucks for my Slim and couldn't be happier. A few extra bucks over the life of the razor doesn't even compute. Maybe a collector could argue but I'm a user.
Anyway, I suspect you'll enjoy the Slim as most owners do.
