Droescher Water Hone & others found

Antique Hoosier

“Aircooled”
Purchased a boxed Droescher water hone with paper label intact on the stone with slurry stone(?). Looks like a cool piece. Will share photos later. 3 other hones as well, a "Tiger", a Case & Sons Arkansas Translucent, and a Indian Mtn all in wooden boxes. Nice little haul.

Cool. Iirc Tigers are synthetics, similar to India. Indian Mtn are arkansas/Washita, again if memory serves. Looking forward to pics.

Here are some snapshots of the haul. Hoping the Droescher is a keeper, need to do some research on it as to how to best use it.

Very nice score. I think you will definitely want to keep the Droescher...I've had several and they're great stones and incredibly easy to use.

Thanks guys. Nothing seems to stay in my den very long with the exception of my Tony Miller and Kanayama strops and a straight or two. With that said, when will be the next time I will locate a nice stone like this in the wild?

You - Maybe tomorrow. Maybe never.

Me, I'll never find one in the wild. Never. All I find are razors. Never stones.

If I ever start a thread saying I've bought a Droescher, then assume I've won the lottery and probably won't be on B & B for a while...
