DR Harris creams on clearance

Older stock of dry cream on clearance at VintageBlades. Drier makes it even better as far as I am concerned. I've already got the soaps, but if you don't, here is a good opportunity.

I take no responsibility if it makes moles the size of oranges grow on your face, but no, it doesn't matter. I have JM Frazer Mosswood that's hardened up on me, and I prefer it that way.

I don't have experience with these particular creams, but SOME can "turn" especially if they're tallow based. I've seen Cella turn more yellow as it ages.

Just placed an order for Arlington & Marlborough... have never used either but for the discount figured it was worth a shot. Thanks for the heads up!

It sounds like older creams would still be serviceable, but I suspect, at the very least, the scent will fade. That's one of the reasons to get D. R. Harris in the first place, so I'm still on the fence here!

Hmm, though I imagine with all the ADs around here, someone must have experience with old cream! Any observations? :)

I'd get a tub just to try but paying $9 for shipping kills the deal.

I did the math. Vintage Blades requires a minimum $20 order, so you'd have to buy other things with a tub. Assuming you buy two old tubs of D. R. Harris cream: $36.48 USD shipped. Currently, you can purchase two new tubs of D. R. Harris shaving cream for $44.20 USD shipped.

So essentially, you're saving $7.72 if you buy old, dried cream over new tubs of fresher cream. Is it worth it? That's a good question!

That's just the color. I've had creams do this but their performance isn't affected/ effected (whichever you use here). Some that harden a little, just use a little more water.

I wouldn't bother with these creams when you can get the soaps for the same price or less.

Soaps are arguably better IMO.

YMMV

Even though weighing less, the soaps are not made by just drying the cream, it is a whole different process. I am sure it is still very usable but not experimenting to save a couple of bucks:laugh:
