I have a cheapo shavette, and it does a good job of scraping my face. Is there a difference in shave quality between a Dovo Shavette and a cheapo one in terms of shave experience?
I tried another shavette vs the dovo and other than a cheap plastic sleeve to hold the DE blade vs the other one where the blade was one piece pinched in a metal holder, nah, all the same!
shave quality is dependant on the blades you stick in the things, Not the razor holders themselves, unless of course, they are so flimsy that the razor blades wobble about like spaghetti on rollerskates
I found that the Dovo Shavette with the green insert and Personna SE blades worked extremely well. No blood, versus a bloodbath with an inexpensive stamped shavette.
I tried the Dovo Shavette, and didn't care at all for it. I use the Feather Artist Club, and its a great razor, but a bit expensive. I have a Parker SRW that I use for clean-up. The Parker uses half a DE blade, but I find it to be a much better razor. The blade holder is solid, its stainless steel, and holds the blade better. The Parker sells for like $l6.00. I paid $23 for mine, but that was with 120 shark blades for it.
