once you will get over yor ADs and figure out what works best for you, it will get much cheaper.

I'm into straight shaving for a little more than half a year now and already own 7 razors, three brushes, five strops, four hones and a bunch of soaps. If there's a cure to RAD tell me quick bevore it ruins me or causes me a divorce (which will amount to the same)!

That's what I said when I landed my hellies in ivory - now I'm searching for one more mk33 to fill the box. Still, it took me about 30 razors to get that far and all that since June 2012!
That last MK33 will probably end up costing you $500 from what i have seen lately.
And that would be an excellent bargain. That le Grelot costs me about 700 bucks.

Great looking razor! The way I see it, I took something I hated doing and turned it into something I like to do. Shaving went from drudgery to fun so a few extra bucks are worth it.
Right you are. And it's probably not the most costly hobby in the world. You could be collecting Ferraris after all (what I always say to my wife when I buy a new razor).
I found rc helicopters to be much more expensive.
