Double Life Blades

I picked up these vintage blades from eBay the other day and thought I would share.
Not used any of them (I probably won't even try - I want my face kept in one piece!) but I think the look of the packaging is superb

They are probably great. Aren't these older blades supposed to be a bit thicker and a bit better? That's what I keep reading.

They may be fine to use,did you check the edges with a loupe or magnifying glass for rust ?....You can try one blade,if it tugs and pulls, then just keep them as a piece of history, you will know after 2 or 3 strokes.I feel the old carbon blades were actually thinner than most of todays blades. The old Gillette "blue blade" was very thin and super flexible.

I opened one but the edge didn't look entirely untarnished. I'll check a couple more to see if they are better before I commit to using one.

Nice find! they do have a cool look to them. I wouldn't be worried about trying one out.

YMMV applies to old blades as well. I used a vintage carbon blade once and it was the worst ever. two strokes and it went to the blade bank.
