What's new

Dorco's US sales site

I was reading an article online and the comments section of it referenced Dorco's new razor sales site. I have read several times on here where people have found that certain store brands resell Dorco blades. There are both single and double edge blades sold on their site. Here is the site: http://www.dorcousa.com/safety-razor-blades-men/

I can't vouch for the quality of the direct sale blades but the prices are cheap so some may decide they are worth trying. 50 single edge blades are $7.99, 50 double edge blades are also $7.99.

Is that cheap for Dorco? Thought I read pretty poor reviews so I never looked into it, but there's a lot of cheaper-end brands that seem like it may be just as good yet cheaper (Astra, Rapira etc.)

A problem is the shipping, about $10 for 50 blades, about 11 for 100. Free shipping at $25, but that's a lot of blades if you don't know if you're going to like 'em.

Very true. Remember, I didn't vouch for the blades quality, I just thought it was interesting and thought I would post for those that like Dorco blades. I mainly use Personna blades myself.

For RAD, and for fun and adventure I just bought their June-Grab Bag (picture below) pack of multi-blade razors (They call it the "June Frugal Dude Pack"). It was $25.48 plus $2.10 sales tax. Shipping was free.

They claim it contains a enough multi-blade razors and replacement cartridges for a years worth of shaving. They also claim that their razors are as good as Schick and Gillette.

I know, I know it's sacrilege around here on this forum but I just couldn't help myself. I'll add these to my other 11 razors and 2-years worth of DE blades. I'll post my thoughts about the razors after I get a few shaves in with em'.

I just love getting those boxes in the mail ! And you never know when the Shavepocalypse will hit. Better stock up now !

wow, 6 blades!!! As if 5 was not too much already :) Let us know how it shaves!

I haven't tried the 6-blader yet. But I have been shaving (a whole week now) with the 4-blade disposable version. I am pretty impressed with the shave so far. No nicks, no cuts, no irritation. I have always had issues shaving my mustache area, my chin, and neck. This little razor gives a clean close shave that I like.

If I really want to go whole hog - I lightly touch up my jawline and cheeks with a Muhle R41. That combo, for me is as good as it can get.

By the way, Dorco sent me a coupon code good for an additional ten percent off their razors. It is good until 6/30 and the code is "10CDOCKING".
