My Bestie has two awesome dogs I spend a lot of time with, today like most summer weekends we were off to the dog park which in a back remote area has a far sized pond we take them swimming in, The younger sheppard is just over a year old and although she loved water last weekend was the first time she actually swam... today she wouldn't stop till she was completely warn out.
I snapped a few pics and took a video, the big guy Remo is about 14 years old and his hips have seen much better days, My friend is thinking they are to far gone to take him through another winter, one slip and he could be in big trouble... but today, today was swimming day, and for this old dog, its his favourite bit of fun chasing down a stick in the pond
this is Remo, a huge German Sheppard
was about 4ish, he was walking at my heels, I kept trying to run ahead to get in front of him, but of course.... he just ran to catch up, this was taken with my cell phone, while both of us were in motion, but I think it captured him perfectly. I might add,... running backwards in flip flops while trying to take this shot was both courageous and daring on my part, making this my danger shot,... specially in a dog park where you really need to watch where you step
his colour is called sable marked if you have never seen this type of coat on a german sheppard before
I dread the day he will be gone, but glad to have him and his sister around while I can
