Do you shave your beard in the shower?

No. Never.

I need the mirror.
I would be afraid of dropping my various shaving mugs / bowls in the shower.
I don't know where I would put the mug / bowl and the brush between passes, etc.

If I need more time, I just set the alarm clock earlier.

I own it. I can do that.

I need the mirror.

Now that you mention it, that goes for me too.

With my goo and cartridge I used to feel my face for stubble with one hand an follow that hand around with my other hand wielding the razor, all while in the shower. Not quite ready for doing that with a straight.

Exactly. I have watched video of some guys that seem to be able to do it by feel, but I ain't one of those guys!

Never have. I was curious enough about it that I considered one of those fogless shower mirrors, but even with that, I think it would be too awkward handling the other stuff. If I did try it, it would probably be with a cartridge razor and a brushless cream.

I have shaved in the shower for the last 30 years.. It's just easier, quicker. Also, I feel like I get everything rinsed off. A feeling that just isn't possible using the sink.
I trim my sideburns and back of neck at the sink/mirror before the shower. Then I don't need a mirror in the shower at all.
As others have mentioned, there is some danger in dropping your gear in the shower. I quit buying the glass bowls that some soap comes in.
Now I buy soap refills and one of the aluminum cans with lid to put it in. Works great for travel as well.
Another drawback is that I've always wanted a scuttle, but there isn't a safe place for it in the shower.
I'll always be a shower shaver.

Never. Not once in my goo and cartridge days, and I can't fathom how much blood I would have seen flowing down the drain! I think the main reason was the lack of a fogless mirror. Can't see how you'd do it with a soap and brush, either.

I do it after the shower and at the bathroom sink where I have great lighting and room to set my brush, cream, aftershave and witch hazel (soon).

I suggest you don't try straights!
Dropping a straight in the shower could endanger a whole lot more than just a mug or a bowl!!

Back in the cartridge days, yes, I did.

Did it by "feel" - no mirror. Did it right under the shower stream, too. Probably got better results from Mach3 that way rather than with canned goo in front of a mirror.

Since getting back to DE (and now SE) razors (and the proper brush lather) I can't even imagine doing the shower trick now!! I'll get up a few minutes earlier, thank you very much!!

99.9% of the time in the shower w/ a fogless mirror. thankfully, whoever designed my shower put in enough shelving and safety rails to hold the needed equipment and the lighting is very good also.

I always shave in the shower with a fog-free mirror. It is the only way I can achieve an irritation-free, painless shave. No matter what prep I do, I can't get a comfortable shave at the sink.

Can you imagine dropping your razor head-first on your naked Willy?

So no. No I don't. Unless it's cartridge.

I used to shave in the shower exclusively during the cartridge days. Now, itnis always a the sink. No way I could handle the scuttle and the brush in the shower, either.

Also, it seems a bit wasteful to shave in the shower. Letting the shower run for 5-10 minutes while you shave uses a lot more water than rinsing your razor in a full sink after each pass.

In the shower only if I am really late and then with an injector or M3. Otherwise it is at the sink after the shower.
