Do all straight razor blades fit all shavettes?

I bought a Spilo Magic Razor from Sally's but no blades, do all straight razor blades fit all straight razors? I'm a novice.

No they don't but that particular razor you bought will hold any double edged razor blade provided you split/cut it in half lengthwise.

Some shavettes like dovo and feather require special blades/blade holders.

Just snap a DE blade in half.

Simple.

Why return it? Should be a find shaver with a good blade in place. splitting them in half isn't a big deal. MANY do it all the time around here.

I should add that some advocate using pliers to hold the blade while splitting and not the fingers, lest one should accidently split his fingers instead of the blade.

You can purchase pre-split ones. I see them all the time on eBay.

Just snap the blade in half while its in the paper, the snap very easy.

It takes a second to snap them with no tools, that's a problem?

So you snap or cut the blade in half and then slide it into the Spilo? Does it hold the blade in place?
