I have a blade that I would like to display on a shelf, in my house. The blade would need to be, at least, partially open so that the inscription on the blade can be seen. Any of you guys have suggestions for some kind of stand, that I can either build, or buy?

Is this a display only or will you use it as well.
A shadow box and some pins would work. I saw where a member used magnets behind the felt to keep the blade open.

The problem with letting it sit where others might handle it (besides the risk of cuts) would be rust from fingerprints.
A small glass case would be your best bet.

Not worried too much about that, it's only the wife and I at the house, our kids visit very rarely...
