What's new

Dior Eau Sauvage Perfum

was in a store and excited to find Eau Sauvage to try because ive read it might have been Steve McQueen's secret babe magnet. But that scents a weak reform. with bad reviews. I didnt get any babe magnet vibes from it, its weak.

But next to it, in similar cool bottle was Eau Sauvage Perfum. I figured maybe its a more intense retro version. Later I read its an entirely new scent a few yrs old.

This one struck a chord with me. Its got. Very strong initial note reminding me of Drakkar Noire and Azzaro PH. I read it doesnt have the special babe magnet hedon-something synthetic ingredient as the orig. McQueen scent though, but its got something . Its so heavy i dont think i can wear it all the time, just in situations where Im free to hang out and meet hot women like if i was at a nightlub or casino etc unattached.

Anyone have any thoughts on this scent?
I feel its not for casual or work, its one of those intense sex fragrances. I bought Azzaro a couple of weeks for $20 but its disappointing, its a weak reform. If i wore it at nightclubs id have to replenish it in the mens room, if i put it on at home 2.5 hrs before.

I have a 20 ml decant of the Parfum. Opening is a bit too bitter.
I don't think it would be a babe magnet. I wear it to work.
Good sillage.

well, theres discussions online re the orig fragrance (not Perfum) being a babe magnet, Steve McQueen wore it, and its got a special synthetic ingredient called "hedon"-something, first use in a cologne. I have read reviews of this new Perfum and my idea its a babe magnet scent does seem to lack support. I thought given the history of Eau Sauvage and concentration of the Perfum, it would be a babe magnet too. But reviews dont really say this.

Try his Fahrenheit sometime. It's an old fragrance but I love it and have worn it for years. I have the aftershave and the EdT/EdC.

I LOVE the parfum version of Eau Sauvage. The performance is also great. Heavy on the mryyr and vetiver with a citrusy opening. It last all day. In fact I can still smell it on my skin the next morning

I tried Fahrenheit. I found it similar to Azzaro Pour Homme but with a slightly off gas like smell. I prefer ESP mentioned above. ESP to me is more like something James Bond would wear, more neutrally classy and manly, not like something Al Pacino would wear in The Godfather. Fahrenheit is also more like Aramis. I think ESP and F are for diff personalities.
