Difference between Gillette 7 O'Clock blades?

Hi all,

I see there are quite a few variations of the Gillette 7 O'Clock blades and I was wondering what the differences are between them?

Thanks

Daven

The green Super Stainless (stainless steel) and yellow (platinum coated stainless steel?) are made in St Petersburg, Russia. The green Permasharp (stainless steel) and black (not sure) are made in India. That's all I know (except that I really like the Russian ones, have not tried the Indian ones).

Cool thanks, I guess I'll try the yellow (I have them here) and then will try to get samples of the rest! Although there does seem to be a bit of a price difference!

Thanks, looks like I will stick with yellows if I like them :) - going to try them tomorrow if I have enough stubble!

Tried a yellow this morning and it gave a good shave. Got my first 2 nicks ever though - but they were my fault (one was a small spot + too much pressure, the other was sloppy movement!)! It isn't as forgiving as a red personna blade but it is very sharp.

Going on my "possible" list!

The Indian Greens and the Yellows are supposedly very similar. The Greens are probably my favorite right now. The Black I believe have an extra coating of platinum for smoothness. The Russian Greens don't rank quite as high on the review boards as the others, but are still reputed to be nice blades.

Anyone have an idea on where the cheapest bulk (100+) source of the Gillette 7 O'clock SharpEdge (Yellow packs) is? The cheapest I have seen is around $34/100...
