I remember seeing a post some time ago stating the new Derby's which look a little different from the older ones don't perform on the same level. I have a some packs left from my previous order and finally came to the conclusion that yes they don't give me a comfortable shave anymore. They're decent but just not at the same level as before. Is it just me? It's a shame because I liked them but if it's going to be like this then I'll have to switch. Keeping with the Astra's, and probably try the Personna reds.

I'm on my third blade with the new ones, I'm still testing as of yet. After the third blade I will use an older derby which I have saved to compare.
As of right now, it seems that they shave different-yes. I also notice that my beard grows different if that makes sense, its kinda weird.

Has Derby changed?
I usually rotate between Derbys and 3 other blades. I like Derbys, but I recently tried IP Reds and I haven't used another blade since. I use my SS to test out new blades and they were such a perfect match I've stuck with that combo. No more aggressive than a Derby blade and better shaves. Also getting more shaves from the IP (4) than the Derby (2). Definitely a blade worth trying.
