D.R. Harris Pink?? Who has tried it recently?

I'm looking for a light aftershave splash for when I shave at night before bed. I currently use proraso and its just too "daytime" to put on before bed. I'd like a light rose aftershave and I've seen D.R. Harris Pink mentioned many times but I also found where one member said they've changed the formula and it now doesn't smell much like rose. Has anyone tried it recently? Review?? Its so expensive I don't want to take the plunge without knowing. Thanks!

I have it..it has 0 alcohol so it didnt help my naturally oily skin...my wife likes it..0 alcohol and 0 scent..no burn :+)

I have the original bottle I bought when it was only available in the UK years ago..I think westcoastshaving.com has it as well as various other online shops

The new formula doesn't smell like a rose to me. Honestly, the bottle looks nice, but you can do better for the price.

I have it-my impression: Pink AS looks cool and comes in a great bottle-which makes for impressive SOTD pics! Faint rose scent lasts for about :30 secs. Minimal noticable skin benefits/feel. However, I think Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel has a more potent rose scent and has a much more tangible soothing face feel-might be the Aloe. Cost $9.95/355ml for Thayers vs Pink $35/100ml

Thanks!!! I may order a bottle of that. I think I'm also going to look at getting a bottle of the QCS Rose Otto Balm. I have the Rose Otto Shave Cream and it smells so awesome!! Anybody Else?? Its looking like everyone has the same opinion... A lot of money for nothing. No scent, no alcohol, no skin benefit.. Is it a bottle of pink water??

I wouldn't spend on Harris Pink, personally. You might want to try some Rosewater, which makes an excellent aftershave. Though it contains no alcohol, it has a mild antiseptic property and will give you a tiny tingle upon application. Though it has no glycerin, it has a light humectant action and will give you a gentle skin seal. It goes without saying that it has the scent you're looking for, and though it's not obtrusive it will last for a couple hours at least.

The best part is that it's a helluva lot cheaper than Harris or even Thayer's, at least at my local Turkish market.

+1 on the rosewater. I have the Burt's Bees rosewater as well as the AoS rosewater spray. Both work great and have light scents.

In early Dec 2013, I ordered a 500 ml bottle of D. R. Harris Pink, as that's what I've used for the last 6 years or so. I like it because it leaves NO after scent. Today (Jan 19, 2014) I just opened the new 500 ml bottle, and it's not the same Pink that I'm used to using. This bottle leaves a light perfume after-scent that I don't like. I don't know if they have changed the formula or it's just a bad batch, but I now own 500 ml of something I'm not going to use. All the previous bottles (usually 100 ml or 150 ml size) have had a very slight rose scent when applied and within a couple of minutes there was no after-scent at all, which is why I like it, as I don't care for perfume or scents. Sure hope it's just a bad batch and they haven't changed the formulation.
