czech and speake - purchase ?

I plan on getting the 88 and Cambridge and oxford - should I get the large puck or get the 3 smaller ones which are travel size?

I have not heard anything about these recently but I remember when I started off - they were considered very good. Is that still true?

I first bought the three travel pucks because that is all that was available at the time. The soap performs flawlessly and the scent is top notch - so now that I am down to the last third of my third puck, the replacement will be full sized.

That and using the small pyrex bowl to hold and lather off the soap is a PITA

Thanks guys....how about grating this soap? Would that take away anything from this soap? I have tried tons of products and I find that I need change and therefore I very rarely finish a product that I purchase. Almost always, everything ends up on BST or ebay or ends up in my brother's closet....

I got the set of three travel soaps, thinking that if I did not like it I could give the other two away. Now I regret it because it is a bit more difficult to load off this soap than it is on a large one. Nevertheless, this is great soap which together with Tabac will always be around in my bathroom.

I do not see why you could not grate these soaps, that is probably what I will ed up doing with mine.

How hard is it to lather in the travel tin? I'm also thinking of getting the soap, but I probably won't use it too often, so I'm considering the travel version.

I do not have the lather tin, I put it in a spent Nivea cram tin. It is not difficult to produce lather from the small puck it just requires a bit more elbow grease than lathering on a larger puck.

Another option is using the small puck in a manner similar to a a shave stick. I have done this and it works beautifully because the soap deposits nicely on the stubble.
