I've been tempted by cordovan for about the last 12 months. There was always something supple and mystic about it. After some research I found out that the process was first developed in Spain and is considered to be "Spanish Leather." A fact I found very interesting with all the colognes on the market.
So my strop....I talked to JimR from SPR via email and settled on the Kanayama 50K. If you aren't sure of this company Ill give you a bit of background. This is a Japanese Razor Strop company that is the only still in operation and has been so for almost 60 years. These are not cheap strops or really for the casual straight razor user. But, then again, do average straight users join shaving forums?
