Contemplating Muhle R41

I already have the following razors:
Trumper double-edge in Simulated Ivory (12 years old)
Merkur Progress
Merkur Future in Chrome

I am now contemplating the purchase of the Muhle R41. Any advice or comments, Gentlemen?

If you like adjustable razors dialed up then I'd recommend the R41.

I normally keep the Progress at 3.5 using Feather blades.

The R41 may be ruff if you like it dialed up to only 4. But practice will make your technique better!

be very careful with it, short stroke, NO PRESSURE!, and I found the angle are different from my other DE's.

I love the R41, but be aware, it takes a totally different technique than most other DE's. With my slant bar, I use long light strokes, with the R41, I have to use a very short light sort of chopping motion. For aggressiveness though, this blade is unparallelled.

I own a Futur and a R41 Grande, I like the Futur better. I am however going to give the R41 another chance after I've refined my technique a little. Good luck, let us know how it turns out.

I've never been brave enough to buy a Muhle R41 (2011).

I have the 2010 model which is really mild, and I'm happy with the Tradere OC and Fatip, but I've never needed to go to the 2011 model.

I have an R.41 but find I am using it less and less. I prefer the adjustables myself and when I use my Mergresses I dial it to 4. However, I find the R.41 for me is harsher and does not give me as smooth a shave.
