Im sure someone on the forum is educated on conifers...I have an evergreen that fell and I discovered my blind side was bald of any needles...trying to figure out if it was diseased in any manner...any help is much appreciated
I'm no expert but: If it was just one side, could have been shaded out (or rubbed) by another tree or along a building. I always saw when bugs hit a conifer, a branch or the whole tree goes not just one side..
there are a row of evergreens that the entire west side of all the trees are bare...so in answer to the question if they rub together I would have to say yes but the not only are the sides bare but also the entire western side as described...about 60% around is bare more than 3/4 the way to the top...additionally, the indides of all branch are bare, closest to trunk
