Comparable to Floris Vetiver?

So the Floris Vetiver is now out of production and I want to converse my bottle as much as possible. Im looking for something comparable that I can get online for under 100 bucks. Anything you like?

I've been in a bit of a vetiver phase and just got a sample of Tom Ford Grey Vetiver and, especially on initial application, it reminds me of Floris though milder and not as excellent.

My solution to Floris discontinuing Vetiver as to post on B/S/T and buy an ounce.

I don't know of other very similar Vetivers, but Geurlain is lovely and available for about $40 / bottle. MPG Route du Vetiver and Racine are both nice though different from Floris.

There are a lot of great vetivers out there. To me, many of them have a similar scent combination of wet grass/hay, earth & soapiness, which I really like, like the Guerlain, for example. I haven't found any that are very similar to the Floris Vetiver, with it's sort of sour note, for lack of a better way to describe it. It's my favorite. If you want to try one that's more different from the rest, you might try the L'Occitane Vetyver. It has more of a smoky darkness in the blend, and is also one I like.

The good news is, it's fun trying different vetivers. Good luck!

I don't know Floris but I received a sample of Lalique Encre Noire, which is a vetiver. I liked it so much I bought a bottle. It has earth and smoke to it as well.

I have limited points of reference. For me, Floris gives off a smoky scent, along with the sourness, and mellows to the more earthy scents. But I've only tried a sample so I hope to try more before the remaining stock is locked up! Guerlain is simply wonderful and to me is much more complex. It has become my go-to fragrance so far (thanks Randy ). Royall Vetiver is really good but is much more straight line earthy in my opinion. I tried all three of the above before getting a sample of Creed Vetiver. It's a nice scent but my nose doesn't get the earthiness that marks most vetivers and that I've come to love. For sure, it bears no resemblance to the Floris.

I completely agree with Randy - the search and experimentation is half the fun!
