Blind bought this because it was said to be fresh and green like Frederic Malle. Well, it's wonderful. Nice vetiver with other notes I'm unsure of. Worth a shot.

Yes it's quite a nice scent but the longevity was so so for me. I just received a sample from Lucky Scents. It seemed to disapear rather quickly. I didn't really get a good sense it. Might have to sample again before I jump in. I do seem to like the vetivers. Probably tried 1/2 dozen or so. I heard that the Frederic Malle is great. I think I'll put that on my next sample list. There are so many it's almost impossible to choose!
Hate to stoke your AD but the Malle is pretty damn good indeed. A nice vetiver note. Kind of similar to Guerlain.

Frederic Malle is awesome. The Vetiver Extroardinaire is great, and so is the French Lover/ Bois d'Orage. I got the CdG to avoid sticker shock. I'll probably end up with it soon.
The CdG does not do well from a sample vial, I have found. The longevity for me when sprayed from the bottle is excellent. I get good longevity from many scents, FWIW, but this one lasts all day easily. I generally use 3 sprays from most atomizers, but I go with 5 from this one due to the less generous amount in each spray. Nevertheless, at its price point, one can afford generous lashings without worry. Get the 500mL bottle and don't look back!
BTW, the Malle is damn good indeed, a bit richer and deeper than Vettiveru. But alas, too spendy for me these days.

I feel like they are somewhat similar. The Malle is certainly deeper and lasts much longer on me. But, for the price, you really cannot go wrong with Vettiveru. I don't get much longevity out of it, but still worth it for what it is. You can also use this as an AS splash and layer other vetiver frags over it without them conflicting with each other.
This is definitely one of the best bang for your buck fragrances especially in the jumbo 500ml splash bottle

I like the Vettieru a lot. It's the best of its series, although Citrico is pretty nice too. I bought a giant bottle of it some time ago on a blazingly hot day and that has formed a powerful association with summer for me. I love wearing it in hot weather.
