Edit: That looked much more emphatic before the system reduced it from all caps...

I'm not gonna deny Manning is fantastic quarterback... but he is a whinny little baby that pouts if things arn't going his way...blaming his O-Line or receivers. He is not a team player. However I don't think the Colts would have won 3 games this season if they didn't have him. He is their whole team.

I hope the Saints make his day very long tomorrow.

Go Saints! (bitter Packers Fan...still angry about that Arizona loss.)

I think if it rains, it's all Colts.

"This horse loves the slop. It's in his bloodlines. His father was a mudder. His mother was a mudder."

Can't wait, could hardly sleep last night thinking about it. Up at 5 AM checking the settings on my 60 inch HD making sure everything is perfect. I got a real good feeling about the game.

Are the Colts favored to win? Yes! Do I think they'll win? I hope so. Do I think they can win? Absolutely!

These might me the most ridiculous statements I've ever read on B&B.

Lets break it down:

Peyton Manning is one of, if not, the most humble QB in the league, possibly ever. He is the first to admit when he's had a bad day or when he screwed up.

He is not a team player

The first words out of Manning's mouth after winning a record setting 4th MVP award was that "he couldn't do it without his team". He said similar things the first three times he won it. He said similar things after winning the SB XLI MVP award and generally says the same things after every win. He always gives credit where credit is due and takes responsibility when he falls short. Another thing many seem to forget is all of the times he has voluntarily restructured his contract to keep TEAMmates with the Colts. Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Bob Sanders (just to name a few) all may have gone somewhere else if Manning hadn't restructured his contract to give the TEAM more wiggle room with the salary cap so they'd get the pay they felt they deserved.

I don't think the Colts would have won 3 games this season if they didn't have him. He is their whole team.

Do I think the Colts would be Super Bowl caliber without Peyton, absolutely not! However, they have enough weapons (that are so obviously overlooked and blatantly disrespected) that they'd at least be a .500 team even without Manning.

Pierre Garcon, Austin Collie, Dallas Clark, Reggie Wayne, Bob Sanders, Robert Mathis, Joseph Addai, Antoine Bethea, Gary Bracket, Melvin Bullitt, Ryan Diem, Dwight Freeney, Kelvin Hayden, T.J. Rushing, Jeff Saturday, Clint Session, Matt Stover, Adam Vinatieri....

These are guys on both sides of the ball. This is a team. Any of these guys could be starters at their respective positions with any other team in the NFL.

You don't land 6 Pro-Bowl selections because of a great QB, you land 6 Pro-Bowl selections because of a GREAT TEAM!

You don't get the best record in FOOTBALL HISTORY in ANY decade on the shoulders of one man. That is only possible through a heroic TEAM effort.

You don't have an NFL record setting 7 come from behind wins in a single season because of one man, that takes TEAM effort and TEAM players.

As my daughter would say when she's sees something totally ridiculous:

EPIC FAIL

It drives me nuts when people let hate and vitriol determine how they respond to things. It is one thing to say, "I don't like Peyton Manning" or "I don't like the Colts" it is something altogether different to imply or say that they aren't a good great TEAM.

For example, I think Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick aren't very good people but there is no denying that they are a good coach and a good QB. I also think Drew Brees is a great QB when he's on but he's not Manning caliber. I'd never blatantly disrespect anyone (sports, politics, religion etc.) simply because they aren't my personal favorites. I believe in giving respect where respect is due. I'm a Colts fan so naturally I don't cheer for the Patriots but I'd never deny the fact that they are a solid NFL organization and they had a great run.

EDIT:
(bitter Packers Fan...still angry about that Arizona loss.)
I understand why you are a Manning hater. He's on course to thrash EVERY one of Favre's NFL records (except perhaps the INT record).

Just talking a little trash about your team and since Manning is all you Colts fans got... I knew I could stir the pot a little bit.

Favre is the greatest quarterback to ever play the game no debate!

Well, there was that guy who said he liked the Fusion . . .

In all seriousness, I have nothing against the Saints. I don't want them to win, but if another team has to win the Super Bowl against the Colts, I don't mind it being the Saints. The city has been through hell, the team has stunk for most of its history, Brees seems like a good guy (even if he is a tiny fella) and when I was a kid, I thought the black and gold colors were awesome. The only thing I don't like about the team is Reggie Bush, who just annoys me. A lot.

I just hope it's a great game. A lot of times it seems that when the match-up is almost too good to be true, the game isn't so great. We had some great Super Bowls last decade, so I'm optimistic!

Paul, I'm a Sig too. And do you actually know any Sigs from Purdue in that time frame? I know lots of them, being one isn't exactly something to brag about.

And second off, I knew Drew Breez fairly well in college, he's a great quarterback but since you're talking about him personally, he's an epic tool.

And since you bring up Sigma Chi, does the fact that he's one mean anything to you, really? I couldn't care less if someone was in the same fraternity I was at another school or at another time, I've got much better criteria on which to judge people.
