Coffee and Girl Scout Cookies

Well there was a group of Girl Scouts selling their "fabulous" cookies in Harvard Square Cambridge MA yesterday. So to do my part in supporting a worthy cause I bought a box. Then I happen to see a nearby Starbucks and thought, "coffee and cookies". Well one cup and a box later I was feeling good about myself. That in spite of not offering one cookie to anyone around me.

Sometimes it just all about me!:biggrin1:

Here in Britain, I would have thought Charbucks would have thrown you out on the street for eating your own food! Is it different over there?

Also we don't get Girl Guide/Scout Cookies!

Nice. Enjoy them!

One of my cousin's daughters is selling them. I placed an order for some.

In Canada we only have three kinds ...

Mint ones, and the more traditional chocolate & vanilla (you get both in each box, 50/50).

I am going to sign my daughter up just for the cookie hook up.

If you have a Dollar General or Family Dollar nearby, one of them (can't remember which, sorry), sells a variety or two of very similar cookies in basically the same size box. You can have faux Girl Scout cookies year round, or until your heart explodes.

I used to love the tagalongs, unfortunately I developed an allergy to peanuts. I guess I'll have to stick with the thin mints.

BTW, I just spoke to the guy selling cookies for his daughter here and he explained that anyone selling cookies directly now without ordering first(ie at Starbucks, Walmart, etc) are selling last year's stock because no troops have yet had the chance to receive new stock from this year's sales.

My cousin's daughters are selling them using an order form. I basically won't be seeing my order for a month, maybe. I'm not sure of the amount of time it takes.
