Cobra and skin pulling

I have a specific question about the use of the Cobra shaver that I ordered last week. I have limited experience with DE but have been shaving exclusively with Feather AC SS for well over a year. I love the blade sharpness and find that I can get superior shave than when using regular straights. Now I have the Cobra coming and wonder if I treat it more like a straight with a different handle and use skin pulling or more like DE and use no skin pulling at all.

I would assume probably no skin pulling. I find when I pull my skin taut, I get more ingrowns.

I don't skin pull with the Cobra or a DE (although stretching the skin with face contortions, I do) it really is one of those YMMV things.....try it both ways and see what works for you.

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Really just depends on the shave, honestly.

Agree with face contortions, but never pull skin by hand...just asking for trouble.

I always used my Cobra as any other DE. But you can try both ways and see what works best for you (I no longer have the Cobra as I preferred the Feather DX after trying the Cobra for a few months)
