Used the Vanilla yesterday - great stuff.
Clubman Classic Vanilla > The Original Clubman

I prefer Vanilla to the original as well. Less "sweet" to me.
I suspect pinaud reformulates their clubman flankers every now and then. So, I can never be sure what others are describing.
Example: I had a bottle of special reserve from 2007 that was so wretched, I couldn’t put it into words. It was like Brian fantana wearing sex panther. Like pure gasoline.
Fast forward, I was bored last year, and couldn’t figure out why so many people liked special reserve. So, I bought a bottle and it smelled fine. Not bad at all. Maybe my first batch was bad. Maybe it was a reformulation. Who knows?
All of that to say: I don’t really like my clubman vanilla, but maybe yours smells great.
