Christmas present for 11yr old boy ideas

My wife has asked me to ask the members here for some ideas for hair products for a our 11yr old grandson , he's at the age where he's taking a interest in his appearance so we thought a few stocking fillers might be a good idea ?

How about a box of miniature colognes? He can sample a few, and find what scent(s) he likes. I have a collection by Calvin Klein, and now like some that I didn't like at first. Of course you could get him a nice brush, soap and Gillette sensor! Or a bottle of Clubman!!!

He's gone through a few styles in the last twelve months at the moment it's short , but i think he's trying to let it grow a bit to style it . I'm a bit out of touch with what the young chaps a wearing at the moment

By hair products do you mean just hair on your head?

My brother is turning 14 next year and I've gotten him started on his own shave den. Maybe something to think about?

Yes i was thinking hair as in head , gel's and stuff maybe deodorants .

Gift certificate. Unless you know what he really wants. At that age, fashion related stuff is very personal and if it isn't exactly what he wants, it's likely to be a dud. And you could supplement the gift certificate with maybe something else, if you don't like gift certificates.

This may not work for you, but back in the eighties when I was a young lad, I loved hair mousse. I went with spiked hair for a while. I always enjoyed spraying a big ball of foam in my hand and then putting it in my hair. I assume you can still get mousse!

Both my sons (16 and 14) use Old Spice hair and body wash religiously. They both love it, but it is STRONG smelling. Walking past their bathroom, I can tell that they took a shower more than 1 hour after the fact. They both claim they don't use much, but it smells like they used the whole bottle every time!

+1 for the gift certificate. Its a very personal choice and I know that when I was a young lad and received gifts of this type it was usually not something that I would have chosen myself.

I want to say Brylcreem, because the picture of an 11yr old kid slicking his hair amuses me. But really, I have no idea what little kids like. Do they make a cologne with a dinosaur on the bottle? I would have liked that. (Still would, actually.)

I have seen him using his dads pomade .

Deltaboy if i thought he would appreciate the Kent brush and comb i would buy them today . I may just email his dad and run it past him though.

I would suggest Dax super neat. It comes in a tin and is really cheap. Ithe tin has an adult kind of vibe which he might think is cool. Also can't go wrong with Axe it's also cheap and is marketed for younger guys. Good luck and Merry Chrstmas!

I used to use that stuff as well. Even just enough to lather over my body once left the bathroom smelling like it for hours after I showered.
That stuff is STRONG.

Seems young for a lot of this. I have a cousin around that age and he's playing soccer, I was thinking of getting him something he can use while playing.

Simple for an 11 year old boy.....an 11 year old girl. I kid. Get him the collectors blue ray / DVD of his favorite tv series or movie.
