Chisel & Hound: Thoughts?

Hello Folks! What do you guys think of Chisel and Hound brushes? especially the fanchurian knots

I was thinking of getting a brush from them. The handles look really good and supposedly the treated fanchurian knots are quite soft

His handles are great. I use mine once a week, but I'm not a fan of the treated tips. Eventually, I'll get it reknotted.

Not enough scritch (face latherer), and the middle tips take forever to properly dry.

He makes beautiful handles.The same knots as Grizzly Bay.I think they are Oumo Manchuria M-5.Gel tips,high density.The middle tips is hard to dry out.I prefer buy a handle send to set a knot.

The hair he uses is treated more than I prefer. Soft and dense but doesn't feel like a proper badger.

I’ve liked a lot of his handles, but never known what to make of the Fanchurian knots. There’s just so many versions and I’ve never been able to find comparisons of them.

I was keen as the handles look interesting and pleasing on the eye but I like a bigger knot with more loft so I never purchased one

I've had several and all have been excellent. Rob does high quality work. I think the Fanchurian knots are quite nice, dense yet soft with plenty of backbone.
