Just to throw my hat in the ring, I LOVE the Gen 3 design. The machining on the cap is unique and classy. The baseplate edges keep the corner of the blade away from my lip. The Gen 3 Lvl 2 is just right for my every day needs. I have used hundreds of razors, and I have been using the G3L2 every day for the last month or so. It's fantastic. I have the hollow handle with only the knurl grips, and it balances perfectly.
I rarely use my Gen 2 Lvl 2. I find it a bit harsh and the head design is pretty plain compared to the Gen 3.
