It's skipping a touch.

Switch inks, try something different before attempting any fix, however minor. Some pens don't play well with certain inks.

Next, do you have a loupe? If so, inspect the tines closely, just guessing (assuming you've thoroughly washed it with soapy water already) but it could possibly be "baby bottom syndrome." Picture a baby sitting on a surface ... forget that image, just google it, Richard's Pen has a diagram. I see that skipping problem in some newer pens. Awfully hard to diagnose without seeing it, just initially try another brand of ink. Good luck!
