I had a couple of Fatboys that had some problems, so I swapped out some parts. This was the fatboy that was in near mint condition, but somebody took pliers to the dial and bent the adjuster pin inside. I got the Fatboy apart by taking the bottom cap off and took out the spring and slid the center rod with silo doors out of the handle. I took some pliers and wrapped the handle in leather and unscrewed the handle form the head of the razor. I took out the bent pin and put a new pin in from the other Fatboy. I reassembled the razor's bottom plate with the adjuster plate and adjuster dial, but the problem I'm having is when I go the screw the handle back into the head of the razor, it doesn't go back completely right. It either doesn't seem the thread all the way back in and the adjuster is a bit out of wack. I tried under clocking and overclocking the dial, but the gap is too large. When I put the top part of the razor back in (rod and silo doors) and screw the bottom cap back on, the silo doors only open half way. Basically I'm stumped on getting the handle screwed back into the razor head, so it's the way it was before, something seems to be off or not screwing back properly so the adjuster works properly and the silo doors can open all the way when I put everything back together. Other than that, the razor looks like it will be really nice if I can get it to work properly. Thanks.
