Greetings from NC gents! If anyone is in the market for Canoe AS, Big Lots has a huge 8.0 oz bottle for only $10.00. It's a great buy.

Greetings from NC gents! If anyone is in the market for Canoe AS, Big Lots has a huge 8.0 oz bottle for only $10.00. It's a great buy.

I had heard that Wal-Mart had a huge 8oz bottle of Stetson for $9. So after stopping by Wal-Mart, and buying that, I ventured into the nearby Big Lots and picked up a bottle of the Canoe Aftershave as well. For $10 for 8oz it was impossible to turn down.

Big Lots had a number of other Dana products out as well, all for really good prices.

I used to wear Canoe a lot, and I seem to remember that it was in the 60s or 70s.

Ok, so I went to Big Lots & picked some of this up. Seems different than the other one I tried in a JC Penny - this was a bluish bottle, kind of tallish, some kind of special "Anniversary Collection" blend (JCP bottle was more squat/squarish with the regatta flag or whatever that is on it). Anyway, I do believe I like this formulation better! Good call!

Whenever someone mentions Canoe, I think about the HBO documentary about the Iceman (hit man for the mob). When chopping up bodies he would splash some cologne around the room and on the walls to cover up the smell. "Something nice, you know, like Canoe." I wonder what smelled worse?

A very interesting documentary, by the way. I think there may have been two of them.
