I found a store that had Cade soap...is it a melt and pour, or do I need to grate it?
Trying to melt it will ruin it. DO NOT TRY TO MELT IT! It's a triple milled soap and cannot be melted without ruining. Grate it with a cheesegrater or food processor instead if you need to make it fit in something. Great soap too, BTW.
Wow I am glad I asked...it was soft enough that I thought it might be a melt and pour...Thankyou...I'm looking forward to shaving with it in the morning
Well it sounds like you got the right stuff if it is the same as the pic on their website. Enjoy using it! Cade is pretty much my favorite shaving soap, especially for the scent!

Well I wondered that too...I just finished press rolling it on the bathroom counter and rolled it down to size to fit into an old Old Spice shave mug. I think the word I was looking for is malliable instead of "Soft".
I bought it at the L'occitane store, and the lable says Cade...but I don't have any experience with it. Its not as hard as Williams, and not as soft as the Ogallala soaps.
There isn't really a Cade cologne. There was a AS splash that was magnificent
it is magnificent, i agree. after a lifetime of hating and shunning cologne, this is the one scent that convinced me that there may be something to this man-scent business. but talk about no staying power. the scent disappears within a minute a two tops.
maybe the "new" formulation will be an improvement, is that really confirmed?
i've read lots of b+b'ers wish for a cade edt, myself included (very much so.)
let's hope and pray they only discontinued it to bring it back, maybe in some other form.
My Cade is not nearly as hard as some of my other triple milled soaps. In fact its not quite as hard as my AOS soaps.
