C.V Heljestrand MK#32 x 2 in wood

A friend asked me to rescale his MK#32 & by some strange coincidence I was all ready working on rescaling my own MK#32, so it all worked out into a beautiful family reunion.
The yellowish one is Staghorn Sumac, US grown.
Yellowheart wedge, stacked ss/brass washers.
Shellac finish.

The other one is aluminum-lined spalted apple-burl with a walnut wedge & NiAg hardware.
Some spalted parts were really soft & had to be painstakingly stabilized with CA & shellac.
But it came out pretty nice if I may say so. Shellac finish.

With blades like these rescaling is pure fun!

Those are saweeet! That burl is a real beauty. I must acquire one of those MK32's and see what the fuss is about. I've been hitting up antique stores, but if the clerk doesn't have a Swedish accent, I bail.

Nice work!

Thanks for the nice compliments dudes!
That apple does look sweet, but it was bit of a pain to get it to work...

As for the MK#32, it simply is the best razor ever made by man. No more & no less
